Job summary

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role.
• Experience on residential, commercial, civil engineering or mixed-use projects with procurement and final accounts.
• Strong understanding of contracts, reporting, cost control, forecasting and risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and project reporting systems.
• Ability to work with site management and stakeholders and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage tender packages and lead subcontract negotiations.
• Manage commercial and financials of subcontract packages from procurement to final account.
• Measure and quantify works on site to support valuations and cost reporting.
• Prepare cost forecasts, budgets, and contract value reconciliations.
• Prepare interim valuations and variations with substantiation.
• Provide regular reporting on commercial performance and cost exposure.
• Collaborate with project and site teams to maximise profitability and minimise risk.
• Identify entitlements and safeguard commercial position.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor cash flow, payments, and recoveries.
