Job summary

The Orchard Care Group is seeking a Team Leader for Orchard Community Care in Glanmire, Co. Cork. You will support Centre management, lead the staff team, and ensure a high quality, person-centred care approach for young people in residential settings.

The role emphasises a non-discriminatory, inclusive culture and strong admin duties to drive placement plans. You will report to the Person In Charge and, in their absence or that of the Deputy Manager, assume Centre leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the care sector, with some experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
• Relevant qualifications in healthcare, nursing, social work, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of care practices, protocols, and regulatory requirements in the care sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams.
• Proficient in documentation and record-keeping, with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise workload, and work under pressure
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-oriented approach to care
• Flexibility to work 12 hrs & 24 hr shifts, including days / nights, weekends, as required Desirable Criteria: Previous experience working with young adults an children with intellectual disabilities and mental health support needs.
