Job summary

The Orchard Care Group invites applications for a Team Leader within its Orchard Community Care division in Co. Carlow.

The role works with the Centre Management Team to ensure day-to-day management of the residential Centre and to deliver a high-quality, integrated care approach for young people, promoting a respectful, non-discriminatory culture. The Team Leader is accountable for the Centre in the absence of the PIC or Deputy Manager and will support staff progression and placement plan

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the care sector
• Relevant qualifications in healthcare, nursing, social work, or related field
• Strong knowledge of care practices, protocols and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse individuals and teams
• Proficient in documentation and record-keeping with attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise workload and work under pressure
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate, empathetic and patient-oriented approach to care
• Flexibility to work 12 hrs & 24 hr shifts, including days/nights, weekends as required

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of the residential Centre
• Deliver a high quality, integrated approach for young people in Orchard Community Care
• Manage staff progression and placement plan objectives
• Ensure Centre functions in absence of the Person in Charge or Deputy Manager
• Report to the Person In Charge and Senior Services Manager
