Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is seeking a Social Care Worker for an agency position in Cork to provide care to adolescents in a mainstream residential unit. You will help create a welcoming environment and support educational activities.

You will observe and record progress, support family contact, and adhere to policies and reporting requirements. CORU registration is required, with roster flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with adolescents in a residential/care setting.
• Experience handling challenging behaviour is advantageous.
• CORU registration is required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support to adolescents aged 12–17 in a residential unit.
• Contribute to a welcoming and caring environment and high-quality care practices.
• Facilitate a programme of engaging activities for young people.
• Update and maintain relevant unit records regularly.
• Support young people to engage with educational activities.
• Support contacts and visits with family members.
• Adhere to organisational policies and reporting requirements.
• Observe and record observations of the young people in care.
