Job summary

SignaCare New Ross is seeking an Activities Assistant to engage residents in meaningful social, recreational, and therapeutic activities. The role is on-site at New Ross, Co. Wexford, Ireland, with a permanent part-time pattern and a 32-hour week across 7 days.

You will plan and run activities, support residents, maintain records, and work as part of a caring team. QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or related qualification is advantageous; the position offers benefits including EAP, recognition scheme,

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and facilitate social, recreational, and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Encourage participation and support individual interests.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and participation.
• Support residents during group and one-to-one activities.
• Ensure activity areas and equipment are clean, safe, and well maintained.
