Renewables Project Lead – NI & ROI

Job summary

Fuse Energy, a renewable energy startup, seeks a Project Development Lead for NI/ROI to identify and secure new energy prospects, manage local networks and coordinate feasibility assessments with Finance, GIS and Engineering teams.

You will oversee permitting from inception through construction readiness, engage with clients to structure PPAs, and lead the acquisition process to handover to delivery teams. 5+ years in renewables development encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in power, renewable energy, agronomy, environmental studies, or project management
• 3/5 years of professional experience in a development role with a track record in project development
• Highly motivated in a multifaceted environment; organized, open-minded, autonomous with multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal skills with stakeholders and excellent verbal/written communication
• Solid analytical skills, adaptability and efficiency
• Knowledge of the Irish renewable sector and local authorities in Ireland/Northern Ireland is a plus
• Valid driver's license (travel required, more than 1 year)

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze and secure new energy prospects (Data Centres, BESS, wind, rooftop, carport, ground-mounted)
• Manage local commercial network to facilitate site acquisitions and development
• Collaborate with Finance, GIS and engineering teams to assess feasibility and optimize design
• Oversee permitting from inception to construction readiness and grid connection compliance
• Engage with Finance to structure PPAs and other models
• Lead acquisition through opportunity identification to transaction completion and handover
• Identify opportunities (data centres, wind, BESS, rooftop, carport, ground-mounted) through market engagement
• Coordinate due diligence and support investment decisions
• Monitor market activity and maintain acquisition pipeline
