Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced solution architect to lead architectural design across strategic projects in Ireland. You will partner with business analysts and delivery teams to shape requirements and ensure designs meet governance standards.

The role spans cloud and on-premises solutions, with emphasis on Azure, middleware, and data architecture. You will influence stakeholders, develop roadmaps, and drive modernisation initiatives in regulated environments, while mentoring colleagues and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in solution design and architecture across database, backend, integration, and UX.
• Influencing skills and experience engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to produce concise designs aligned with governance and strategy.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-native solutions and hybrid-cloud migrations.
• Knowledge of modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect and TOGAF.
• Experience with .NET, SQL Server, Dynamics 365 and Angular.
• Experience assisting technology modernisation and digital transformation.
• Experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead architect or work with other solution architects on strategic projects, including procurement and software development.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define requirements and non-functional requirements.
• Design tech solutions aligned with standards and strategy across domains.
• Present designs to architecture governance forums for review and approval. Work with enterprise architects in developing roadmaps for applications and platforms.
• Coordinate implementation of approved solutions, assisting delivery teams and ensuring alignment with high-level designs.
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues through active teamwork and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture standards and reusable patterns.
• Manage relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
