Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in infrastructure or systems roles.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or bash with automation scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX administration and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with production systems at scale and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable production systems with reliability and security in mind.
• Develop and maintain automation to reduce toil and improve efficiency across environments.
• Monitor production systems, implement intelligent alerting, and automate incident response to minimize downtime.
• Create incident runbooks and perform postmortems to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with software teams to remove infrastructural bottlenecks and improve deployment workflows.
• Manage and optimize monitoring infrastructure with standard tools for full visibility.
• Plan maintenance windows with minimal service disruption; execute risk-managed updates.
• Triage issues with decisiveness and coordinate with vendors and support teams.
• Survey best practices in infra/platform management and stay current with open-source design implementations.
