Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a Europe‑based team to hire a Senior Software Engineer specializing in C/C++ and Go. The role emphasizes designing high‑performance systems for web security, networking, and infrastructure, with integration work for Nginx/Apache, and collaboration across the complete development lifecycle.

You will contribute to both proprietary and open‑source projects, working in a remote‑first environment across Europe and leveraging a modern tech stack including Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of professional C/C++ software development experience.
• Deep expertise in low-level programming, systems development and network programming.
• Practical experience with web security concepts and web infrastructure.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Strong fundamentals: debugging, performance optimization, system design, testing, maintainable code.
• Familiarity with web server architecture and integrations with libraries/tools.
• Go knowledge is a strong advantage for multi-language environments.
• Exposure to technologies like RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software components in C/C++ for web security and networking.
• Develop integration modules for web servers (Nginx, Apache) ensuring reliability and performance.
• Extend and optimize open-source libraries and components to meet security challenges.
• Implement new features in a C++ bot-detection engine to improve threat identification.
• Collaborate across the full software lifecycle from design to deployment and optimization.
• Work with Go, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
