Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with an Ireland-based company to hire an Engineering Tech Lead (Product Security) for a hands-on security leadership role.

You will secure cloud-native infrastructure, drive threat modeling and secure design, review Kubernetes architectures, and contribute production Go code to hardened systems.

This remote-first role emphasizes ownership, collaboration with engineers, and measurable security impact across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Hands-on penetration testing of production systems.
• Deep Kubernetes security expertise incl. container isolation, RBAC and policies.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals (API server, admission control, kubelet).
• Experience building Kubernetes controllers/operators with controller-runtime/Kubebuilder/client-go.
• Proven ability to investigate and remediate vulnerabilities and coordinate CVE lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Penetration testing and security assessments in Kubernetes environments.
• Triage and remediate vulnerabilities in code and dependencies.
• Threat modeling and secure design reviews early in the development lifecycle.
• Analyze Kubernetes attack surfaces and RBAC/config policy configurations.
• Review code and architectural designs for security issues.
