Job summary

Twilio's Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) seeks a Security Engineer to lead technical responses to security events across Twilio's global infrastructure, services, and applications. You will triage, contain, remediate, and drive post-incident improvements while collaborating with R&D Engineering and R&D Business teams to scale processes.

This role emphasizes building bespoke runbooks, automating security workflows, and mentoring teammates as the team grows.

Qualifications

3+ years of security incident response in a production-cloud environment.
Subject-matter expert on security issues and technologies.
Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive, complex security incident response activities.

Responsibilities

Lead and support the response to all security events and incidents across Twilio’s global infrastructure, services and applications.
Document incidents and projects; craft runbooks and standard operating procedures to share knowledge.
Work cross-collaboratively to understand challenges related to a broad spectrum of threat actors.
Improve Twilio’s security posture by driving betterments from security events and incidents.
Own the security incident lifecycle, respond to incidents, and participate in RCAs.
