Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Security Engineer, Incident Response, to join a remote-first team in Ireland/UK. You’ll lead technical responses to security events, drive scalable processes, and automate where possible across Twilio’s global infrastructure, services, and applications.

You’ll work with R&D Engineering and Business teams to develop playbooks, improve threat detection, and mentor teammates while maintaining strong cross-team collaboration and execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security incident response in production-cloud environments.
• Subject-matter expert on security issues and technologies.
• Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive, complex security incident response activities.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and security tools for cloud environments.
• Experience across technology stacks on security challenges and initiatives.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and extending their functionality.
• Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
• Experience in AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence and build relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the response to security events and incidents across Twilio’s infrastructure.
• Document incidents and projects, and craft runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to tackle threat-related challenges.
• Improve security and reliability posture by driving betterments from incidents.
• Rapidly acquire new technical skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Own the security incident lifecycle, participate in on-call rotations and RCAs.
• Mentor and support team development and career growth.
