Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Security Incident Response Team. You will lead technical responses to security events across Twilio’s global infrastructure, triage incidents, contain threats, and drive remediation and post‑incident improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of security incident response in a production-cloud environment.
• Subject-matter expert on security issues and technologies.
• Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive, high-fidelity security incident response.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and cloud security tools.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and SOAR tools for automating security processes.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other large cloud platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the response to security events and incidents across Twilio's global infrastructure.
• Document incidents and projects; craft runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to tackle threats and extend security coverage.
• Drive security improvements and post‑incident betterments across the org.

• Own the security incident lifecycle; participate in on-call rotations and RCAs.
