Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Ireland Limited is seeking a Rail Systems Lead to provide technical leadership across rail systems, including signalling, telecommunications, electrification and OT, on Ireland’s major transport programmes.

You will lead the Rail Systems discipline, mentor multidisciplinary teams, coordinate interfaces, support bids, and collaborate across Ireland and the broader AtkinsRéalis Rail community to deliver safe, reliable rail solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong systems engineering and integration experience in rail or complex infrastructure.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating interfaces.
• Knowledge of rail disciplines: signalling, telecoms, electrification, OT, or systems assurance.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Experience delivering major transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative leadership and passion for developing others.
• Degree in Engineering or related field (Level 8/9).
• Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland, ICE, IET, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across systems engineering, integration and assurance on major rail projects.
• Coordinate interfaces between rail systems, infrastructure and operational requirements.
• Lead the Rail Systems discipline within Ireland Rail business.
• Mentor and develop the Rail Systems team.
• Support bids and client engagements to shape opportunities.
• Promote technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Ireland and the AtkinsRéalis Rail community.
