Job summary

Moritz, an AI-native global law firm, seeks a senior privacy lawyer to lead the drafting, review and negotiation of DPAs, SCCs, and privacy terms for clients from startups to enterprises. You will advise on GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA; manage international transfers; and support incident response within a fast-growing network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practising privacy or data protection law in private practice or in-house.
• Deep familiarity with GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA, and ideally HIPAA or sector-specific regimes.
• International transfers expertise via SCCs, transfer impact assessments, and cross-border data flows.
• Working knowledge of AI and privacy, including training data and automated decision-making.
• Practical, risk-based approach; privacy certifications (CIPP/E or similar) are a plus.
• Active license and in good standing with the bar / law society of Ireland.
• Work on the privacy frontier of AI deployment and operationalizing compliance.
• Flexible engagement: project or retainer basis alongside existing practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of DPAs, SCCs, joint controller arrangements, and privacy terms in commercial contracts.
• Advise clients on the privacy implications of deploying AI systems—training data, automated decision-making, transparency obligations, and cross-border data flows.
• Support incident response—breach assessment, notification obligations, regulator engagement, and remediation.
• If you accept work with a known SLA, commit to meeting that SLA.
