Orienteering Ireland is seeking an Operations Manager (OpsMgr) to lead day-to-day operations, implement strategy, and oversee staff and panel performance. You will coordinate between clubs, development programmes, and external partners to promote and grow orienteering in Ireland.

The role requires strong management, project leadership, and governance experience, with Garda Vetting and a full driving licence. This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours and a focus on growth.

Competenze

• Minimum of Level 7 NFQ qualification in Business or Sports Management.
• Three+ years proven management experience.
• Proven experience in project management with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational abilities and structure.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• EU/EEA/UK/Swiss citizen or valid Irish work permit and reside in Ireland.
• Full driving licence with access to personal transport.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Garda Vetting required if successful.

Mansioni

• Manage performance of OI staff, panels, and service providers with clear milestones.
• Support clubs and ensure delivery of OI programmes and governance.
• Maintain relationships with external stakeholders including Sport Ireland and IOF.
• Provide administrative and financial support; plan annual operations and budgeting.
• Create and manage business plans and funding applications.
• Complete required training and adapt to evolving OI needs.
