Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking two experienced Design Managers to oversee the electrical and mechanical design delivery of hyperscale Data Centre projects across Europe. The role offers remote working with occasional site visits and an ASAP start on a 6-month rolling contract.

You will coordinate with internal teams, external consultants and clients, reviewing designs to ensure compliance with project requirements while managing design programmes and engineering interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience as Design Manager on hyperscale Data Centre projects.
• Electrical engineering background with progression into design management.
• Experience delivering projects for hyperscale clients such as AWS, Microsoft, Google or Meta.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary electrical and mechanical design activities for hyperscale Data Centre projects.
• Oversee the design process from early-stage development through detailed design, construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, external consultants, subcontractors and clients.
• Review technical designs, specifications, drawings and design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Manage design programmes, technical queries, design changes and engineering interfaces.
• Support the successful delivery of large-scale Design & Build projects.
