Job summary

ABB is seeking a qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer to join our service team to support field operations across MV/LV switchgear. You will perform preventative maintenance, installation, and commissioning, with opportunities to retrofit and advise on improvements.

The role is remote with travel, supporting critical infrastructure in utilities and industrial facilities. You will work with a team to deliver high-quality service, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and communicate

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in installation and maintenance of MV/LV switchgear.
• Experience testing and commissioning ABB and/or third-party equipment.
• Good knowledge of MV protection relays and/or LV Systems
• Strong service and maintenance background.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
• Strong customer-facing and relationship management skills.
• Proficient spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver field services Preventative Maintenance on LV and MV products. (speciality in either)
• Installation and Commissioning of LV and MV Solutions.
• Retrofitting, Replacement and Advisory duties.
• Identify and resolve technical issues through troubleshooting and analysis.
• Support customers by identifying opportunities to improve operational performance.
• Prepare materials, parts, and equipment required for service activities.
