GitLab is seeking a Corporate Development Director to shape strategic investments, partnerships, and potential acquisitions for its AI-powered DevSecOps platform. You will own market analysis, build investment theses, and drive end-to-end deal execution from outreach to integration in a fully remote, async environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years across corporate development, corporate strategy, strategy consulting or technology investing.
• 5+ years leading acquisitions end to end in enterprise software.
• Structured strategic thinking with data-driven approach.
• Market sizing, competitive analysis, and landscape mapping.
• Deal crafting: valuation, structuring, and integration planning.
• Clear executive updates and async communication.
• Influence without authority across multiple functions.
• Ownership of strategic view with team collaboration.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, security, AI and open source ecosystems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own the wider market view and framework GitLab's options.
• Build investment theses for focus areas with product/engineering input.
• Define where GitLab should not play and justify decisions.
• Run build, buy, partner analyses with speed, cost, risk, and fit.
• Deliver strategy memos and business cases for executives/Board.
• Support planning with an outside-in market perspective for long-range plans.
• Lead end-to-end deal process from outreach to integration.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Product, and Engineering on diligence.
• Maintain external network with founders, investors, and advisors.
