You will source Bengali PDFs with multimodal content, annotate structure, transcribe text with exact accuracy, capture page metadata, and participate in end‑to‑end peer review.

Fluency in Bengali script required; familiarity with diverse layouts (multi-column newspapers, handwritten forms) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Native Bengali speaker with full command of Bengali script, its diacritics and conjunct forms.
• Experience with annotation, transcription, localization, subtitling, proofreading, or data review of documents.
• Exact character-level accuracy; a single wrong diacritic is a defect.
• Systematic application of a taxonomy across hundreds of pages.
• Comfort with unfamiliar layouts: multi-column newspapers, handwritten forms.

Responsibilities

• Source Bengali PDFs with multimodal content and record source details.
• Annotate page structure: bound regions, types, and reading-order indices.
• Record relationships: link regions to their parent figures/tables.
• Transcribe Bengali text exactly and flag unreadable regions.
• Capture metadata: language, document type, source, page dimensions and flags.
• Participate in end-to-end peer review with a second Bengali expert.
