Job summary

Jobgether in Ireland is seeking a Backend Engineer – API Integrationen, Connectoren, Worker/Jobs, Mailer Service, QA to join a partner company.

You will design and build robust backend services, focusing on reliable integrations across Box, HubSpot, Microsoft Graph, and billing systems, with strong emphasis on observability, testing, and production readiness. This role is remote with CET-friendly hours and offers project-based engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production API integrations with OAuth and webhooks.
• Strong backend engineering track record with Python/Node.js/Go.
• Relational databases design, persistence, and safe migrations.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-ready API integrations and connectors (Box/HubSpot first).
• Implement reliable authentication and integration patterns with OAuth and webhooks.
• Design and develop queue-driven background workers and jobs.
• Develop a mailer service with attachments, logging, retries, and deduplication.
• Design DB schemas and manage migrations with PostgreSQL.
• Ensure audit events and traceability across distributed processes.
• Support QA coverage with contract and integration tests.
• Use Docker and observability practices to deploy backend services.
• Identify and mitigate failure modes in production scenarios.
