Job summary

JM Data Talent is seeking an experienced Amazon (AWS) Data Engineer for a Dublin-based client on a 6-month contract in Ireland. The role emphasizes cloud data engineering with AWS, Python, Apache Airflow, Docker and Microservice Architecture, with ML data workload exposure as a plus.

The position offers predominantly remote work with occasional on-site visits (2-3 times per month) and requires Stamp 4 or EU national status and full right to work in Ireland for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Data Engineering on AWS.
• Proficiency in Python and building data pipelines.
• Experience with Microservice architectures and containerised deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reliable data engineering solutions.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python.
• Develop and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow.
• Work within AWS cloud environments.
• Build and deploy containerised solutions using Docker.
• Work with systems based on Microservice Architecture.
• Integrate data across multiple applications, services and platforms.
• Troubleshoot and optimise pipelines for reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, data and business stakeholders.
• Support appropriate development, testing and deployment practices.
• Contribute to data solutions supporting analytics and potential Machine Learning use cases.
