Job summary

EDC - Engineering Design Consultants seeks a dynamic Associate Director to lead mechanical design across multiple projects from feasibility through construction. You will oversee delivery, ensure profitability, and mentor engineers while coordinating with BIM teams.

You will bring 6+ years in building services, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of Irish/UK regulations. The role offers remote working options and career progression within a growing consultancy.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with PM experience.
• 6+ years in Building Services consultancy design.
• 3+ years team management experience.
• Proven ability to deliver detailed designs end-to-end.
• Expertise in Water Services, Heating/LTHW, HVAC, BMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design delivery from feasibility to construction.
• Ensure high-quality, technically robust project delivery.
• Act as Project Leader to meet client brief, programme, and budget.
• Manage design team resourcing and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Maintain client relationships and support business development.
• Collaborate with BIM and modelling teams.
