Job summary

Partner company in Ireland seeks an experienced AI/ML & Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI/GenAI solutions from concept to production. You will blend software engineering with ML, MLOps, and LLMOps to deliver scalable AI products, tackling LLMs, RAG pipelines, NLP, forecasting, and anomaly detection.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software or technical engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Machine Learning and AI/ML Engineering.
• Advanced Python development with deep learning and ML techniques.
• Experience with NLP, forecasting, classification, regression, and anomaly detection.
• Proven experience building GenAI apps using LLMs and retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
• Strong understanding of embeddings, retrieval tuning, reranking, and AI/LLM evaluation methodologies.
• Solid knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps across the AI development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD for production deployments.
• Experience designing REST and gRPC APIs and event-driven services.
• Knowledge of model monitoring, drift detection, and lifecycle management.
• Strong data quality, governance, security controls, RBAC, encryption, and audit trails.
• Ability to translate business challenges into practical AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML/AI and GenAI solutions from PoC to production.
• Build and optimize ML models across DL, NLP, forecasting, classification, regression, and anomaly detection.
• Develop production-grade GenAI apps using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, retrieval optimization, and prompt engineering.
• Create AI evaluation frameworks to assess quality, reliability, relevance, and performance.
• Build scalable AI services via REST and gRPC APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Establish MLOps/LLMOps practices for deployment, automation, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Containerize and orchestrate AI apps with Docker and Kubernetes; integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement model monitoring, drift detection, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure AI solutions meet data quality, governance, security, RBAC, encryption, and auditability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical AI solutions.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements.
• Apply engineering best practices to ensure scalable, secure, observable AI systems.
