Job summary

Trimble Inc. is seeking an AI-augmented Software QA Engineer to lead day-to-day quality for a feature team, leveraging AI tooling to accelerate test creation and validate cloud workflows powering global infrastructure.

The role emphasizes test automation, strategy, and CI/CD quality gates within Azure DevOps, with cross-functional collaboration with product managers and developers. Remote Cork location with local collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of professional software quality engineering experience and a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Test automation: Proven hands‑on capability creating automated tests using modern frameworks and languages (e.g., C#, .NET, Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).
Testing Techniques: Solid understanding of intermediate Closed Box testing methodologies (state-transition, decision tables, domain analysis) and basic Open Box code review awareness.
BDD/TDD proficiency: Intermediate experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) techniques and tools.
AI tooling enthusiasm: Demonstrated experience or strong desire to master AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to boost test automation velocity.
Data & API Validation: Proficiency with SQL Server/relational databases for data verification and testing REST APIs (e.g., Postman).

Responsibilities

Set day-to-day quality direction for the feature team and oversee testing activities.
Create and maintain test automation scripts for cloud platform features.
Apply testing strategies including state-transition tables and decision tables; perform code reviews.
Integrate automated tests and quality checks into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers using BDD/TDD to establish acceptance criteria and coverage upfront.
