Job summary

Bus Éireann is seeking a Training Supervisor based in Cork to lead driver training and development across the Southern Region. The role focuses on delivering induction, refresher training, and ongoing assessment to uphold safety, professionalism and customer service standards.

You will work closely with the People Operations Manager and cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement in driver performance and training alignment with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee driver training delivery and development across the network.
• Lead induction and refresher training programs for drivers.
• Assess driving performance and coach drivers to improve safety and efficiency.
• Ensure all training activities align with Bus Éireann’s operational and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with People Operations, regional HR, line managers, service supervisors and external agencies (RSA, NTA, DoE, DoT).

Job description

The Training Supervisor plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring Bus Éireann meets all statutory, regulatory, and company training requirements under relevant EU Directives, national legislation, and industry standards. Based in any of Cork depots covering the Southern Region, this role is responsible for overseeing, delivering, and continuously improving driver training and development across the network.

Acting as both a trainer and a supervisor, you will assess and develop driving performance, deliver induction and refresher training, and ensure all activities align with Bus Éireann’s operational and strategic objectives.

The successful candidates will report into the People Operations Manager and work closely with Regional HR, Line Managers, Service Supervisors, and external agencies (RSA, NTA, DoE, DoT, and others).
