Job summary

The Rehab Group in Cork seeks a Relief Care Worker (P&S) for a fixed-term 12-month contract at Douglas Supported Accommodation. You will provide personal care within a high-support residential setting, focusing on dignity, respect and person-centered support while fostering community living.

Applicants should have QQI Level 5 in Social Care or equivalent, be able to work in a team, maintain confidentiality, and hold a full clean driver’s licence. Closing date 17 November 2026.

• Ability to work effectively in a team providing person centred support for service users.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of service users.

Responsibilities

• Promote and actively get involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user.
• Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users.
• Ensure that all interactions with service users are approached with dignity, respect and equality and incorporating choice.

Job Purpose

To provide a personal care service to individuals with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Difficulties within a high support residential service setting, in an environment which values and respects the individual, fosters a positive behavioral support approach to supporting people with challenging behaviors and an environment that fosters community based living, personal development and social inclusion

What We’re Looking For
