Job summary

Amgen Inc. in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland, seeks a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to improve plant equipment reliability and availability at the ADL site. You will develop a robust reliability framework, enable right-first-time maintenance, and partner with Engineering, Operations and Quality to implement predictive maintenance strategies.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, optimize asset lifecycle, and support safe, compliant operations within a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a GxP manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work across functional boundaries and influence outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support Drug Product manufacturing within the Vial and Syringe filling plants.
• Develop, optimise and modernise the maintenance PMO programme to maintain correct level and frequency.
• Utilise digital tools to enhance predictability and targeted maintenance strategies.
• Apply analytics to assess performance and identify reliability improvements.
• Lead reliability roadmap development and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analyze downtime, MTBF and MTTR to identify chronic issues and drive improvements.
• Define maintenance scopes, refine job plans, and ensure risk-based execution.
• Support shutdown activities and ensure critical work is prioritised and executed accurately.
• Drive continuous improvement and embed standard work and documentation.
• Lead system improvements and develop engineering documents and SOPs.
• Solve complex problems, manage projects, and ensure safe operations.
