Job summary

SMBC Group in Ireland is seeking a technically skilled analyst to support trade and transaction reporting regulatory requirements across EJEM jurisdictions. The role emphasizes strong SQL/data analysis skills and knowledge of regulatory frameworks like MIFID II, EMIR, and SFTR.

You will collaborate with compliance, IT, and front-office teams to design and deliver reporting solutions, manage data quality, and contribute to regulatory change initiatives within a hybrid IT environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Analyst or Business Analyst in investment banking or capital markets.
• Understanding of regulatory reporting like MIFID II, EMIR, SFTR is a plus.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills; ability to translate regulatory rules into specs.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse requirements for trade and transaction reporting with stakeholders.
• Translate regulatory requirements into functional specifications for reporting solutions.
• Develop and test reporting solutions for MIFID II, EMIR, SFTR and related rules.
• Analyze data for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reports.
• Maintain data flows, system interfaces, and reporting logic documentation.
