Job summary

HCL in Cork, Ireland is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist/Technical Writer to develop and manage controlled procedures, work instructions and forms in a regulated environment. You will work with subject matter experts to translate technical information into clear, structured documentation and manage it through review, approval and release.

The role requires strong writing, attention to detail, and experience with document control, templates, and MS Word.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level or equivalent in a technical field with ability to understand complex subject matter.
Experience creating controlled documentation in regulated environments is preferred.
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with subject matter experts to define and validate document content.
Translate complex technical information into clear, concise procedures, work instructions, and forms.
Identify content gaps and incorporate feedback.
Review documentation for technical accuracy, clarity and formatting.
Apply templates and document-control requirements throughout drafting, review, and release.
Plan and manage priorities, timelines, risks and dependencies with minimal supervision.
Track and report documentation progress and metrics.
Support continuous improvement of templates and authoring processes.
