Job summary

The Talbot Group are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for our Respite Service for Children with Intellectual Disabilities in Bettystown. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care while supporting residents to achieve personal goals and maximise independence.

The role involves supervising staff, working with the multidisciplinary team, monitoring health, and managing medications safely in line with Talbot Group standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a nursing degree and have an active NMBI registration.
• Experience in residential, respite or day services supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
• Knowledge of person-centred planning and relevant clinical policies.
• Knowledge of HIQA National Disability Standards.
• Demonstrated passion for helping people live their best lives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care.
• Support residents to achieve personal goals and maximise independence.
• Work closely with families, MDT colleagues and other professionals.
• Monitor health and respond appropriately to medical needs.
• Manage medication safely in line with professional standards.
• Complete clinical assessments and nursing procedures within scope.
