Job summary

Harper Finley Professional Recruitment client in West Ireland seeks an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee multiple locations, drive KPIs, efficiency and continuous improvement.

You will lead Site Managers, manage budgets, ensure health and safety compliance and deliver cost savings while maintaining service excellence across the region. Travel between locations is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational performance across multiple locations in the region.
• Take ownership of service delivery, productivity and operational efficiency.
• Monitor daily operational issues and ensure timely resolution of service failures.
• Lead and support Site Managers, providing ongoing performance management and guidance.
• Conduct regular site visits, audits and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, policies and procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture and lead incident investigations where required.
• Ensure operational and transport compliance standards are consistently maintained.
• Monitor and manage key operational KPIs, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
• Analyse operational data and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership.
• Manage regional operational costs, including labour, overtime, agency, fuel and maintenance.
• Deliver against agreed budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Lead, coach and develop operational teams and managers.
• Support recruitment, retention, succession planning and employee relations.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive consistency and standardisation of processes and procedures across multiple locations.
• Travel regularly between locations across the region.

Regional Operations Manager

Location: West Ireland

Salary: €60,000-€70,000 DOE

Reporting to: Operations Director

Our client is an established organisation with a strong presence across the West of Ireland, seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee multiple locations. The role will focus on operational performance, compliance, cost control, health & safety and team leadership, working closely with Site Managers and senior leadership to drive KPIs, efficiency and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in multi-site operational management.
• Strong background in logistics, transport, distribution or another operationally intensive environment.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and performance metrics.
• Demonstrable experience in cost control and budget management.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience managing transport operations and regulatory compliance.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A data-driven approach with the ability to identify trends and drive performance improvements.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
• CPC or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience with Lean / continuous improvement methodologies would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of route optimisation or operational planning systems would be advantageous.
