Job summary

DALTONS OF CAHIR in Ireland is seeking anexperienced HGV driver with refrigeration experience to transport temperature‑controlled goods including food and pharmaceuticals. Primary duties include vehicle checks, loading secured cargo, maintaining correct temperatures, and completing deliveries on schedule.

You will keep accurate temperature logs, adhere to drivers’ hours and road regulations, and liaise with transport planners and depot staff as needed for delays or updates.

Qualifications

• Experience with HGV driving and temperature-controlled cargo.
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip checks.
• Familiarity with tachograph and delivery documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle checks before departure and refrigerant unit inspections.
• Load/secure cargo to meet temperature requirements.
• Monitor temperatures during transport and document readings.
