Job summary

Keelings is seeking an experienced HGV driver for operations across Ireland. You will deliver product to customer sites, handle PODs, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety. The role requires a clean EU cat C/C+E licence, CPC card, tachograph knowledge, and at least 1 year of HGV experience.

Flexibility for varied start times and days is essential; training and assessments are provided. Join a team focused on reliability and quality service.

Qualifications

• Full clean EU cat C / C+E driving licence (UK Licences not covered in ROI).
• Up to date digital tachograph card.
• Up to date CPC card.
• Minimum 1 year’s experience in driving HGVs.
• Experience in the use of refrigerated temperature-controlled vehicles / trailers.
• Experience in container work.
• Pass drivers assessment prior to start.
• Undergo training prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV to deliver our product to own customer sites and collecting 3rd products.
• Ensuring POD’s/Delivery dockets are signed and returned in a timely manner.
• Dealing with customers on a regular basis and reporting issues back to office.
• Complying with customer rules while on their site(s).
• Washing both trucks and trailers as required or instructed.
• Small repairs and maintenance jobs as required (bulbs, steps, oil and water checks).
• Adhoc duties, e.g. van driving, shunting trailers and yard work.
• Multi drop delivery work for other Keelings business or associated companies.
• Pre-trip and end of day defect reporting.
• Securing pallets and trollies in trailers / trucks to arrive in order.
• Setting up temperature of fridge units, monitoring and reporting.
