Job summary

Talbot Hotel Midleton is currently seeking a receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis. The role covers 3 or 4 shifts per week, with early and late hours, and midweek plus weekend availability is essential.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of hotel reception experience, friendly and professional demeanour, fluent English, and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Experience with Hotsoft is advantageous.

• Able to handle guest queries and provide courteous service.
• Willing to work variable shifts including midweek and weekends.
• Experience in hotel reception is a plus (1 year).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival in a warm and welcoming manner.
• Handle guest check-in procedures.
• Know hotel services and facilities to communicate to guests.
• Post charges accurately to guest bills and process payments.
• Address guest queries by phone or in person professionally.
• Coordinate with housekeeping on room allocations.
• Maintain float levels for the front desk.

Talbot Hotel Midleton, part of the Talbot Collection are currently recruiting for a Receptionist to join our team.

This is a part time position covering 3 or 4 shifts per week, shifts will vary from early (7am start) to late (11pm finish) so ideal candidate will be available to work midweek and weekend shifts.

Main Duties

• To greet guests on arrival in a warm and welcoming manner;
• To handle guest check in procedure;
• To have complete product knowledge of the hotel services & facilities and to communicate these to guests as required;
• To ensure that all charges are correctly posted to guest bills;
• To action all guest queries by phone or in person in a professional and friendly manner;
• To ensure that the guests needs and requirements are met;
• To ensure accounts are set up for functions or syndicates;
• To liaise with housekeeping with reference to the allocation of rooms;
• To ensure that all floats are maintained to the appropriate levels;

The successful candidate will have

• 1 years' Hotel Reception Experience;
• Friendly and professional work attitude;
• Fluent English essential - written and spoken;
• Must be available to work variable shifts;
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
• Experience in using Hotsoft would be a distinct advantage
