We’re looking for a General Operative to join our production team at The Real Meal Company in Monaghan. As a close-knit, family-run business, we produce high-quality cooked meat products. In this role, you’ll work across our production areas to help meet customer demand while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and hygiene.

What at you’ll do:

• Help meet customer demand by carrying out production tasks under the direction of managers, supervisors and team leaders.
• Operate machinery safely, complete start-up checks and maintain clear, accurate paperwork.
• Identify different product types, weigh and count materials, and load products and materials into packaging equipment.
• Unload and stack products and materials, carry out stocktakes and complete accurate despatch records.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene and food quality, follow traceability procedures and report food safety concerns to your direct manager.
• Keep workstations and surrounding areas clean and safe through daily cleaning and correct waste disposal, following environmental regulations.
• Uphold our six core values and follow company policies, employee handbook procedures, and Quality and Environmental systems.
• Take part in required training and contribute ideas to company-wide improvement initiatives.
• Support other duties within the business unit as needed and carry out any other reasonable tasks.

What we are looking for:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• A proactive approach, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• The ability to use initiative, exercise good judgement and focus on achieving results.
• Available to Work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work different hours or shifts to meet production needs.
• Spoken and written English communication skills are desirable.
• Experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), along with knowledge of BRC and other industry standards, is highly desirable.
