Job description

Spencer Lennox has been retained by one of Ireland’s leading law firms to recruit a solicitor with 2-6 years' PQE for its 40-person Real Estate team. The practice advises on major transactions across offices, logistics, healthcare and hospitality, including landmark headquarters, large commercial portfolios, hotel assets and major developments.

Solicitors in the team work with different partners and across sectors, rather than being confined to one type of property work. Associates in the team describe the work as varied, challenging and visible: these are often the deals you read about in the press.

You will have meaningful involvement with clients and transactions as soon as you are ready for it. Associates can lead on substantial matters, with partner support available when needed. A dedicated professional support lawyer and well-developed knowledge resources make it easier to find the right guidance and keep learning.

A clear path to progression

The firm plans to increase partner numbers in the Real Estate team by approximately one third over the next two to five years. Across the firm, 25 lawyers have been promoted to partner in the past five years, with an almost equal split between men and women and between lawyers who trained with the firm and those who joined laterally.

The partnership is ambitious and collaborative. The emphasis is on getting deals done as a team, sharing client relationships and developing commercially minded lawyers from an early stage. Each solicitor has a line manager who takes an active interest in their workload and development.

The firm is also investing in how its lawyers will work in future. Everyone has access to Legora and Copilot, and a member of the property team is currently on secondment with the firm’s AI unit.
