East Lindsey District Council is seeking an HGV Motor Vehicle Technician to join our Fleet Services team at Warwick Road Depot, Louth. This permanent full-time role offers a 37-hour week with Monday to Friday pattern and some flexibility for early starts and call-outs.

You'll work with an experienced team maintaining a varied fleet, including HGVs, plant and specialist vehicles, performing routine service, diagnostics and hydraulic repairs, in a supportive workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ 3 Motor Vehicle Mechanic qualification.
• Hold a full valid Class C driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a varied fleet of vehicles and specialist equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs, including hydraulic systems.
• Conduct routine service maintenance and support training opportunities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently working in a dealership, commercial garage or fleet workshop who wants to continue using their technical skills without the pressures often associated with target-driven workshop environments.

You’ll work alongside an experienced and knowledgeable team maintaining and repairing a varied fleet of vehicles and specialist equipment that help deliver essential services to our local communities including routine service maintenance, diagnosis and repair, hydraulic systems etc.

The role will be based at Warwick Road Depot in Louth. The role is permanent full time – 37 hours per week Monday to Friday, however, some flexibility of working hours will be required due to early morning starts and call-out requirements.
