Alstom UK&I D&IS in Cork is seeking a Scheme Project Manager to support the Project Manager in delivering signalling works on railway infrastructure. You will help manage the programme and resources to achieve planned works safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience in railway/construction/engineering project management environments.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, cost and risk.
• Familiar with scheduling, risk assessments, and contract considerations.
• Strong report-writing and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager by delivering elements of contracted works in line with client and internal requirements.
• Manage small to mid-size projects or parts of larger projects.
• Control costs, risks and opportunities to meet business expectations.
• Provide clear reports on the status of project deliverables.
• Identify resource requirements and build programmes with planning colleagues (people, plant, materials, subcontractors).
• Liaise with subcontractors, report progress and communicate issues/risks regularly.
• Represent Alstom at client and supplier meetings; present to client where needed.
• Produce accurate written reports for internal use and for the client.
• Maintain a strong delivery culture and ensure Project Risk Management is kept up to date.
• Understand standard contract conditions and potential variations; track deliverables to close out.
