Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced Design Manager- Rail for the MetroLink Dublin project. You will lead a defined package, acting as the technical and managerial authority for your scope, coordinating Civil, MEP, Systems, Architecture and Specialists to deliver design inputs within cost and schedule targets.

You will drive sustainability and whole-life performance, manage interfaces, risk, and programme delivery, and regulate design reviews with Discipline Leads to ensure high-quality outputs for

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or similar desirable.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent preferred.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as Package Manager for assigned geographical scope with accountability for planning, coordination, and timely delivery of design inputs.
• Establish and manage package delivery plan, scope definition, discipline responsibilities, approvals and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, ITT documentation, Discipline Lead prescriptions, and regulatory obligations.
• Monitor and control scope to prevent creep, manage changes, and maintain cost discipline.
• Embed sustainability, decarbonisation, digital engineering, and innovation into tender solutions.
• Lead design reviews and align outputs with project objectives.
• Provide senior technical leadership and ensure design outputs are reviewed and approved.
