Job summary

Greyhound Racing Ireland (GRI) is recruiting for a Racing Support Officer based at Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium, Dublin. The role reports to the Racing Manager and offers development in racing operations, regulatory compliance and commercial aspects of the greyhound industry.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months in a demanding role with strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Fluent English is essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of racing operations, regulations, welfare standards and track operations.
• Supervise racing operations on race days and trials at locations assigned by manager.
• Oversee maintenance of track equipment, kennels and related hardware.
• Involvement in planning and promotion of Racing and Classic events.
• Operate the greyhound grading system, RMS and electronic trials booking system.
• Manage sponsorship relationships locally for race events.
• Interact professionally with owners and trainers during trials and race nights.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and RCÉ procedures, including safety and welfare compliance.
• Carry out any other reasonable task requested by management.
