Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an experienced R2R Accountant in Cork, Ireland, to own and manage accounting, US GAAP, local statutory, and tax compliance for a portfolio of entities within the EMEIA GBS organization.

You will lead monthly and quarterly close processes and build a strong control environment. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across regions and finance teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Fully Qualified Accountant with 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical proficiency in US GAAP, IFRS, and FRS.
• Strong Financial and Analytical Acumen: ability to manage complex accounting/tax models and data.
• Detail-Oriented and Organized: manage multiple deliverables with deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset: work across regions and functions.
• Problem solver: assess risks and provide practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage accounting for a portfolio of legal entities across EMEIA.
• Oversee US GAAP, IFRS, local statutory and tax compliance.
• Manage relationships with external advisors and auditors.
• Ensure timely monthly and quarterly close processes.
• Support external audits, including government tax audits.
• Maintain robust SOX controls and regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to GBS initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
