Job summary

Medtronic plc in Galway, Ireland seeks an R&D Engineering Program Manager to drive selected engineering workstreams from definition through delivery, coordinating lab readiness, pilot-line execution, Design Transfer and manufacturing deployment.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear, action-oriented updates to leadership, aligning technical objectives with program goals across R&D, Quality, and Operations.

Qualifications

Lead complex engineering workstreams and drive multidisciplinary teams to delivery.
Strong planning, prioritization, dependency management, risk governance and escalation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Experience with complex electromechanical products; medical-device background is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Own selected engineering workstreams from definition through delivery.
Coordinate lab readiness, pilot-line execution, Design Transfer and manufacturing deployment.
Maintain the integrated execution picture across workstreams including priorities and risks.
Lead workstream reviews and concise leadership updates.
Identify cross-workstream gaps and coordinate R&D, Quality, Operations and Manufacturing.
Partner with Technical Lead to translate objectives into sequenced work packages.
Provide visibility of progress, transfer readiness and commitments to leadership.
