Job summary

Ireland's Main Civil Contractors is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its team and manage project costs across a diverse portfolio. You will prepare estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities while handling NEC contracts and early warnings to protect project value.

Responsibilities include variations analysis, risk assessment, procurement oversight, and producing financial performance reports. The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or estimation.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Experience with NEC contracts is essential.
• Proficient in COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all project costs to ensure that projects are completed within budget.
• Prepare and evaluate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for our projects.
• Manage NEC contracts, including interpreting contract clauses, managing early warnings, and assessing compensation events.
• Analyse and assess variations, manage claims in compliance with NEC guidelines, and ensure timely resolution of any contract issues.
• Conduct cost analysis and risk management for ongoing projects.
• Oversee procurement processes, negotiate with subcontractors, and manage subcontractor performance.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on project financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract variations.
