Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. in Dublin is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major data centre project. You will assist with cost management, subcontractor packages, valuations and variations, ensuring accurate commercial records throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience in Quantity Surveying or a construction environment.
• Strong interest in developing a career in Quantity Surveying and commercial management.
• Good understanding of construction processes and terminology.
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with CostX, Buildsoft or similar software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team with the management of subcontract packages.
• Assist with the preparation of tender documentation, work packages, budgets and procurement activities.
• Assist with the analysis and review of subcontractor tender returns.
• Support the preparation and administration of subcontractor documentation.
• Assist with monthly valuations, payments and cost reporting.
• Assist with the preparation and assessment of variations, claims and other commercial matters.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate commercial records.
• Assist with the preparation of cost/value and cash flow reports.
• Support the preparation and agreement of external valuations.
• Assist with subcontractor final accounts and commercial close-out.
• Liaise with subcontractors, clients, designers and internal project teams as required.
• Ensure commercial documentation is prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identify potential commercial issues and escalat them to the Senior Quantity Surveyor where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with the wider project team to support the successful delivery of the project.
• Develop knowledge of construction methods, measurement and commercial management.

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a major data centre project in Dublin.
