Job summary

Ward Personnel is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a site-based role at Intel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The role covers pre-contract cost control, commercial management and reporting to the Contracts Manager and Company Director.

You will collaborate with delivery teams on a range of construction projects, requiring a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least five years’ experience with strong cost control and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.

Responsibilities

• Pre-contract cost control and commercial management
• Preparation of tender and pre-contract documentation
• Estimating and cost planning
• Preparing Bills of Quantities
• Producing monthly cost reports and commercial updates
• Preparing interim valuations and recommendations
• Attending client and project meetings
• Monitoring project costs and budgets
• Assisting Project Managers with commercial and contractual matters
• Preparation and agreement of final accounts
• Supporting the continuous improvement of commercial processes

About the Role

An established and highly respected building & civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. Based on site in Intel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare, you will work on a range of construction projects across the campus and play a key role in supporting the commercial success of projects from pre-contract stage through to final account.

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager and Company Director, you will collaborate closely with project delivery teams, assisting with cost planning, commercial management, reporting, and project control.
