Job summary

Rockwell is seeking a Quantity Surveyor with exposure to mechanical projects to work on a semiconductor project in Kildare, on a permanent, full-time basis. You will manage budgets, change control, and final accounts for M&E works, ensuring contractual obligations are met and guiding the construction team.

The ideal candidate holds a Quantity Surveying degree with at least two years' post-qualification experience and strong commercial awareness.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor in construction, with exposure to M&E projects.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Experience with an M&E contractor is favourable.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to generate detailed monthly reports.

Responsibilities

• Full management of budgets and final accounts for Mechanical, HVAC and Electrical projects of various sizes.
• Ensure contract requirements are met and guide construction team accordingly.
• Identify commercial risks and report to management.
• Review and update monthly progress reports reflecting remeasurements, site variations and claims.
• Manage subcontractor accounts from award to final account and handle variations.
• Forecast turnover and cash flow for projects.
• Oversee commercial aspects and maintain trustworthy reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies affecting M&E systems.

Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work with a dynamic and progressive engineering company?

Rockwell is currently seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor who has had exposure to mechanical projects to work on a semi conductor project in Kildare, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the full management, budget, through construction to final accounts of Mechanical, HVAC and Electrical projects of various sizes.
• Make sure that all contractual requirements are met and offer guidance and oversight to the construction team in relation to this.
• Capability to identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management.
• Review and update monthly progress reports to accurately reflect remeasurements, site variations, additional work, and any claims.
• Manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations, and final account.
• Managing and forecasting of turnover and cash flow of the projects
• Evaluating and overseeing the commercial aspects of all projects to ensure accurate and trustworthy reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies affecting Electrical and Mechanical systems.

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Experience:

• Relevant 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying,
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor within the construction industry, with exposure to mechanical or electrical projects
• Have strong commercial awareness
• Previous experience working with an M&E Contractor is favourable.
• Be comfortable in your use of Microsoft Office, with the ability to generate detailed monthly reports.
• Have a positive attitude with a passion to learn & succeed, an energetic approach and an ability to take accountability
