Job summary

Moog Ireland Ltd. is a leading motion control systems designer and manufacturer, with facilities in Ringaskiddy, Cork. The company seeks a Quality Engineer to design, monitor and improve quality control systems for products and processes, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The role requires on-site presence at Carrigaline, Cork, with potential local and international travel. You will report to the Quality & Lean Integration Manager and work with multiple engineering and management

Qualifications

Honours Bachelor Degree / Level 8 in engineering or science.
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified is preferred.
Good knowledge of ISO 9001, EN/AS9100, IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 is an advantage.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA and 8D problem-solving.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to interact across roles.

Responsibilities

Support Continuous Improvement of Quality & Quality Systems.
Review customer requirements and ensure quality compliance.
Review and approve Engineering Change Requests.
Lead AS9145 (APQP) activities including FMEA and PPAP.
Lead and support 8D investigations with customers.
Monitor production quality yields and drive improvements with Lean & Six Sigma.
Manage internal non-conformity reports from ID to closure.
Report quality performance metrics and progress; collaborate with teams.
Provide technical quality support to supplier quality engineering and inspectors.
Support QMS audits (internal and external).
