Job summary

RECRUITERS is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join the Quality team in Carlow. The role focuses on end-to-end sample management within a GMP environment, coordinating activities across QC, Manufacturing and QA to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include maintaining sample traceability via LIMS/GLIMS, supporting deviations and CAPAs, and driving operational excellence while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Control, Sample Management, Laboratory Operations or a GMP environment.
• Hands-on experience with a LIMS; GLIMS experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of GMP and quality systems.
• Proven ability to prioritise workloads and deliver against deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Track record of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end sample lifecycle, including receipt, logging, processing, distribution, traceability and disposal.
• Use LIMS/GLIMS to maintain accurate sample records and traceability.
• Ensure activities comply with GMP, GDP, SOPs and data integrity requirements.
• Support deviations, investigations, CAPAs and root-cause analysis.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Develop and maintain relationships across QC, Manufacturing, QA, External Quality and other functions.
• Support quality-related projects, procedures, training materials and process improvements.
• Provide day-to-day support to the wider QC Sample Management team.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join a Quality team in Carlow. This is an opportunity for an experienced Quality or Sample Management professional to work within a highly regulated GMP environment, supporting sample management, compliance and continuous improvement. You will coordinate the end-to-end sample lifecycle while working cross-functionally with QC, Manufacturing, QA and other stakeholders to ensure quality and operational requirements are met.
