Job summary

Next Generation is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical setting in Carlow. You will manage the full sample lifecycle using GLIMS, coordinate external shipments, and support QC, Manufacturing and QA teams to ensure compliant sample handling.

Ideal candidates will have experience with LIMS/GLIMS, sample coordination, and a science or engineering background. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no shift work, contributing to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Experience with LIMS or similar laboratory systems preferred.
• Experience in sample coordination, tracking or management.
• GLIMS experience and GMP-regulated environment familiarity.
• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology or laboratory setting background helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete sample lifecycle using GLIMS, from receipt and logging through to disposal.
• Coordinate and prioritise sample workloads to keep activities on track
• Arrange sample shipments to external laboratories and sister sites
• Manage retain samples in line with the applicable programme
• Maintain compliance with GMP, GDP and data integrity requirements
• Support deviations, investigations, and root-cause activities
• Assist with SOPs, procedures and quality documentation
• Support quality activities connected to manufacturing, testing and material/product release
• Work closely with QC, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, External Quality and other stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and reliability
